Medical Transcription is an allied health profession dealing with the process of transcribing voice-recorded medical reports that are dictated by physicians, nurses and other healthcare practitioners. It is also Known as MT. In this course student will learn document typing and formatting functions according to an established criterion or format, transcribing the spoken word of the patient's care information into a written, easily readable form. A proper transcription requires correct spelling of all terms and words, and correcting medical terminology or dictation errors.

- Basics of dictation-transcription process, transcribing Medical Dictation
- Healthcare records and different types of medical reports such as Operative Reports, Pathology Reports, Consultation Reports, Discharge Summary
- Making the Transition from MT to Speech Recognition Editor
- Proof reading and transcribing
